StephanO DAS-WEIN-GUT | Character, depth, spice, exoticism, classicism - good wines are like a comedy by Shakespeare. Stephano, the inebriated cellar master from Shakespeare's famous comedy "The Tempest" is therefore not only by chance the godfather of Das-Wein-Gut StephanO. We have set out to produce top quality wines with the same passion as Shakespeare's StephanO in the newly acquired vineyards in Deutsch-Schützen and Eisenberg.
History | The dream of our own wine estate comes true after a long search in 2008, when we are able to purchase about 1.2 hectares of the most beautiful vineyards of Southern Burgenland in Deutsch-Schützen. In 2009 we found the winery StephanO and immediately start planning the wine cellar, tasting room and guest rooms. The first grape harvest is brought in. In spring 2010, the vineyard directly behind the winery is newly planted and on July 30, 2010, the time has finally come: a lavish party is the starting signal for the new building of the StephanO Winery, which has now been opened.
Our philosophy | to produce wines as they are in the book and by their description can only come from the southern Burgenland: restrained and yet full of character. Just like the people from this very special region. Central theme, where the next hectic city is miles away and stress is not yet invented: the wine. From the second floor to the last bottle. Pure deceleration. And everywhere modesty and humility before climate, quality and naturalness. Many reasons to want to share our passion for wine with you from here in the future. Why do we do this? Many years of enthusiasm for top wines and their production and the experience of the last years in the practical work in different vineyards. Or in short: we love wine as a work of art.
