What will the year 2026 bring? One thing is certain, classic.Esterhazy will start musically as splendidly as it is filled with surprises – and with a highly welcome return: the internationally celebrated Nicolas Altstaedt, as well as in Eisenstadt, returns in the dual role of soloist and conductor. Together with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, he will present an exciting program, culminating in Mozart's magnificent "Prague Symphony": a work that is both dark with fate and exuberantly life-affirming. This gripping and enormous range of expression is already evident in Haydn's Symphony No. 52 from his "Sturm und Drang" period. In between, there is a cello concerto by the Bohemian virtuoso, composer, and friend of Beethoven Antonín Kraft: a classical rarity.
