The NOCKIS could certainly be described as something like the Rolling Stones in the German schlager music scene. They have reached number 1 in Austria with their albums 14 times, and things are going very well for the NOCKIS in Germany and Switzerland as well. Who would have thought in the founding year of 1982 that an unknown formation from Carinthia would establish itself as Austria's most successful schlager band of all time? A total of 38 gold and 29 platinum records, along with a multi-metal award for their anniversary, are now proudly owned by the NOCKIS.
The album title "Glücksmomente" of the current album represents what the NOCKIS have embodied for over four decades. In these 13 new songs, the focus is primarily on loving memories of past romances, romantic and deep feelings of love – in other words, "happiness" in the sense of authenticity. Often, the songs arise from real experiences, as the songwriters confirm. This has always been important to the NOCKIS, as it allows them to repeatedly win the hearts of their many fans.
