The Marian Temple, named after Princess Maria Hermenegild Esterházy, born Liechtenstein, was built in 1804 according to the plans of the architect and painter Charles de Moreau and completed one year later. The temple had already been given the name "Gloriette" during its construction and has kept it until today.

The fire of 1995 caused severe damage to the Gloriette.
In 1999 the renovation and revitalization of the Gloriette was started and completed with a new opening in 2004.

Today the Gloriette is home of the restaurant "The Alm by Rabina", that offers you a unique ambience for your civil marriage, wedding ceremony, birthday party and other occasions combined with top service, excellent food and a great view over the capital Eisenstadt
