The KUGA (Cultural Cooperative) in Großwarasdorf is a dedicated cultural center in Middle Burgenland, founded in 1982 by young Burgenland Croat activists. Their goal was to counteract emigration, preserve the Burgenland Croatian language and culture, and provide new impulses for village life. The old school was transformed into an open cultural meeting place - a space for encounters, diversity, and community.

The KUGA's program is diverse, ranging from concerts, readings and theater performances to cabaret, dance, and exhibitions, as well as workshops and courses. The open-air festival "Croatisada" has gained particular recognition, attracting artists and visitors from home and abroad. Children's and youth programs such as "KUGA4kids," as well as language and health courses, are also an integral part of the offerings.

Today, KUGA is a central platform for cultural exchange, multilingualism, and lived diversity in the region. It stands for peaceful coexistence and appreciation of different cultural identities - making it a significant cultural beacon in Burgenland, well beyond Großwarasdorf.
