About 3 km outside of Leithaprodersdorf lies the actual landmark of the place. It is the tower of a Romanesque church, which remained the only part of the former mountain church intact in the year 1683. The church was dedicated to Saint Stephen the Martyr. In the 19th century, the pyramid helmet was placed on the tower. Due to its shape, the church ruin received the name "Pfefferbüchsel." The current cemetery is still located around the former church. Gothic fresco remnants were found in the tower chapel in 1975.
