A real rarity is the boot maker's museum, or as it should be called in Hungarian, the "Csizmenmachermuseum". It is the only museum of its kind in Austria and points out that the boot makers' guild in Rechnitz had a great past until the Second World War. Today this profession is unfortunately almost extinct. A complete bootmaker's workshop with interesting tools and machines, but also a market stall, a market chest, guild chests etc. can be visited under the expert guidance of the master shoemaker Koch Julius.
