The Vine Growing
Vine growing has been practiced in the Kovacs family for generations. In 1993, Hermine and Matthias Kovacs took over the vineyard from his parents. Their son Michael is now responsible for the fine-tuning of the wines as the cellar master. The family business currently manages about 7 hectares. The vines are nestled in sandy brown earth, clay, and gravel soils in the sunniest part of Austria. From pruning the vines to the finished wine, the family shares the work.
