Sensitive observation of nature, biodynamic cultivation, unbridled biodiversity above and below ground: Gernot & Heike Heinrich's idea of terroir-influenced wines is based on a deep understanding of the diverse living environments within their vineyards. The aim is to create a natural balance in which vines, people and animals act in symbiosis with one another and form the decisive elements of a larger whole. The natural prerequisites for this are cool limestone slopes on the Leithaberg, a modulated topography with a warmer climate around the winery in Gols and a handful of autochthonous grape varieties with Blaufränkisch as the spearhead. Undogmatic, artisanal vinifications give the wines the freedom to tell of their origins in an unadulterated and clear way. They lay the foundation for ongoing evolution. The exchange with the friends of Pannobile, Demeter & respekt opens up additional perspectives. The result is vibrant and vital wines that reveal the essence of their location in a puristic and characterful way.
