Elegant wine personalities with depth
The Grenzhof winery of Bernhard, Birgit, Elfi, and Gerhard Fiedler is located at the outskirts of Mörbisch in Burgenland, near the Hungarian border. With a vineyard area of 11 hectares, it is small enough to produce distinctive wine personalities, yet large enough for the typical diversity found at Lake Neusiedl.
As winemakers with heart and soul, we are deeply rooted in the region, much like our vines. And just like us, our wines are not superficial show-offs, but independent characters.
For many generations, our family has carefully nurtured our vines from pruning to harvest and has cultivated those varieties that particularly thrive in the Mörbisch vineyards. In the cellar, we allow the grapes to express their characteristics and consciously hold back during the winemaking process.
In this way, we create not loud self-portrayers, but elegant wine personalities with depth, which still have exciting stories to tell even after the third glass. And they do not run out of breath after just one year in the bottle.
