Our winery is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Burgenland.
The growth of the vines in Mörbisch is mainly influenced by the climate of the Pannonian region. Hot, dry summers (the region has the most sunny days in Austria) and cold, precipitation-rich winters create a special wine climate. Additionally, Lake Neusiedl provides an excellent microclimate for viticulture: it stores heat from the sun during the day and releases it at night. As a result, the vines show a significant head start in growth compared to other wine-growing regions. A gentle wind from the Hungarian plains creates a pleasant living environment for both vines and humans.
Our white wines are fermented in steel barrels and bottled after the necessary aging. The red wines mature in wooden barrels of our vaulted cellar. Our mild climate and long growing season allow the vine to absorb the minerals present in the soil. These give our wines their fruity and full-bodied character.
Our vineyards extend in larger terraces along the Ruster hill country to the reed belt of Lake Neusiedl. The influence of the Pannonian climate is unmistakable. In this region, the most sunny days in Austria are counted. Moreover, Lake Neusiedl creates an excellent microclimate for viticulture: it stores the sun's heat during the day and releases this warmth at night.
