Branch office station

Just 287 steps away

Located just around the corner from the village museum is the old Mönchhof station building. Visitors can experience the Neusiedler Seebahn up close, the former economic artery of the Seewinkel has transported people, animals, and goods since 1897.

There are three railway wagons on the rails. One is devoted to passenger transport, one to the field railway on the manor farms, and the third to the expulsion of Hungarian Germans in 1945. A large depot displays transport goods and equipment that was used for railroad operations.

The train is ready to depart, all aboard!

The station museum has the same opening hours as the village museum. Combined or individual visits are possible.
