Over the past two decades, jOPERA jennersdorf festival summer has established itself as one of the top European opera festivals. Director Alfons Haider puts on exciting and entertaining productions with a fantastic cast of international stars. Performances are delivered without electro-acoustic amplification, but with a direct view of the orchestra. The jOPERA children’s and youth choir deserves special mention. Young musicians from the surrounding area have the opportunity to engage their singing voices and participate in various performances.
