We present seven top cycling routes here, but of course that’s not all that Burgenland has to offer in this regard. You will be amazed at how diverse and dense the regional bike path network is. 3,300 km of well-developed routes so that you can travel comfortably and with lovely views. In the midst of the idyllic landscape and also making an important contribution to regional, environmentally-conscious mobility in Austria. The Burgenland has a wonderfully long cycling season due to the weather and the diversity of the landscapes offers a varied program in every season.

All the routes are well signposted and mostly paved. There are rental stations and charging stations for e-bikes at many points along the routes. In addition, numerous bike-friendly landlords and restaurants make your cycling holiday in Burgenland an unforgettable experience.

    The Iron Curtain divided Europe into east and west for almost half a century. Covering more than 10,000 km, the EuroVelo 13 route, which extends from the Barents Sea high up in the north of Finland and Russia to the Bulgarian-Turkish border on the Black Sea, has an Austrian section that runs along the entire eastern border of Burgenland for 287 km.
