The bike paths are as varied as the landscape. With more than 3,300 km of paths, there is something for everyone. Whether on your own or with all the family, whether by e-bike, mountain bike, or a conventional bike. In Burgenland, your bike rides always come with added sunshine and something new to experience!
We introduce some particularly beautiful and surprising places that can be experienced along Burgenland’s many different bike routes.
The Lebenswartweg trail, which starts in Oberwart in Southern Burgenland, takes you by bike through the “Wart”, the charming stretch of land on the Pinka, which includes Unterwart, Oberdorf, and Rotenturm.
The lakes cycle path (B20 Lacken-Radweg), which from Podersdorf leads you through the interesting landscape of the Seewinkel with almost no gradient, reveals its very own charm on the Zicksee.
The red wine cycle path (B40 Rotweinradweg), which starts and ends in Deutschkreutz, is an attractive circuit with moderate gradients and also suitable for families.
Admittedly, the Rosalia cycle path (B32 Rosalia-Radwanderweg) in Northern Burgenland is not for those who prefer to only travel downhill, because it has some pretty tough climbs. So either take it easy on your e-bike or push those pedals hard.
