Concert highlights from March to October

The violinist Joseph Joachim, one of the most significant violinists of the 19th century, was born in 1831 in a place rich in musical history, Kittsee in northern Burgenland.

In the 19th century, he gave the first performance of his Maria Theresia Symphony (Hoboken I: op.48) in the castle, and his musical genius lives on today. In Haberlandt Hall, the central ballroom of the castle, he enchants the audience in many different ways every year. Refurbished in 2017, the large hall is once again looking magnificent. Together, the delightful park and charming castle make for a magical setting and an amazing stroll. The park not only provides an impressive backdrop for cultural events, but is also a popular place to relax.

Under the artistic direction of Prof. Rudolf Buchmann, concerts at The Pannonian Forum Kittsee have been a cherished tradition for many decades, making the town and its castle a vibrant place for music lovers to come together.

International artists such as members of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna Burgtheater as well as world-famous soloists such as Rudolf Buchbinder, Stefan Vladar, Philippe Entremont and Julian Rachlin have made their way to Kittsee.
